Luton office had to cheek to tell me to still keep on paying union membership or ring back and get the unemployed rate. They are no help whatsoever and I have dealt with them for separate issues and found them to not have any weight or dont want to get involved or poor advice that makes things worse. Living with a disability I now have age, race, past cancer and now dismissal and job reference issues in trying to get a new job.
Unite Luton advised after the decision today law is not on my side as not done two years service and the company can do what they like until we get a change in government. When I formalised the complaint workplace did a sham investigation and deprived me of a formal grievance meeting gave me the outcome and dismissed me today both at the same time. Was told I should formalise a complaint as a formal grievance by Luton Unite office.

I sound so paranoid saying this and really thought I was just being so until I read these reviews. I constantly have my manager throwing insults in my face and using quotes from the initial email I sent over to unite. All now, from the middle of April, I'm STILL waiting for a phone call from them to discuss my options. Overall, the 25 Unite Us employees give their leadership a grade of B, or Top 30 of similar size companies on Comparably. Approached the Union about it all to ask for advice and see the best course of action. 25 employees at Unite Us have reviewed Unite Us across various culture dimensions, providing their opinions on items ranging from executive ratings to the pace at work. Would be constantly mocked with vulnerable training modules and videos and such for weeks afterwards. Was even insinuated that I have mental health issues because I had a big gap between jobs and started the role skint (couldn't work from home cause I had no electricity so I asked to work from the office). The V-Unite platform made our attendees feel like they were at the annual. Ignored during training and left to wait for hours before getting a response while others would receive a response in minutes and seconds. We enjoyed the highest attended annual meeting in the history of the organization. Was being harassed and pushed out of my job.
